2024 Winter Nats Internationals 1/8 & /10 Fuel On-road

Sorry, long story, but I have to mention.
I just returned home before making a post and digesting this unbelievable dream come true at the WinterNats race at the incrediable Nuggets Ranch RC Raceway in Arcadia, Florida, owned by Greg and Melanie Esser .
I needed to really digest the Winternats race because it was absolutely one of the best 9 days of fun, laughter, and a dream come true I could ever imagine.
Mike and I camped at the track in his toy hauler, along with other racers camping out at the track.
It even got better because I had the opportunity to see all my old friends again to that I have not seen since 2017 my last race, this made the trip even more exciting and pleasurable to just hangout, work on the cars and watch the rc races.
I was not planning or prepared to race, plus I didn't even want to race because I was there to help Mike.
I don't own parts or anything since my last full-time race in December 2017 at the Toys for Tots race in Southern California..
But I really can not thank Mike enough for all he did with everything he gave me to use and the great horsepower in the Mugen MRX6X, Ulti Tyre Special.
This was, if not the most competitive A Main Master Class ever, with some of best drivers in the country and two of the 2 best and fastest drivers from out of the country, WOW!
The last two weeks before coming out to Florida, I have been out at the dirt oval track, practiced one day, and raced the following week turning left only, LOL. I'm thinking about getting into RC Dirt oval Sprint cars, just to do something which is a blast, fast, and competitive.
I did purchase 3 Infinity Electric on road cars last year 2022 to get back into rc racing. I went out twice to practice but the local track ended up closing down in Dec, so I now I have Infinity electric on road cars sitting around because there is no tracks within 7 hours, so these cars are sitting in the garage looking pretty and getting old like me, lol.
Mike informed me after I rebuilt two of his cars that I was racing. I said, "No, I'm not. I'm going to be your wrench; only, that's it, I don't own any 1/8th nitro on road equipment so I can not contribute with parts or anything, plus not practicing helped me make that decision to not race.
So my plan was that I only went to Florida to wrench and work on Mikes car for the races, not to race, so Mike flew me out to Florida from Arizona to help him.
Since Mike is a very dear friend of mine and I have not seen him personally since 2017, I couldn't say no, I would love to, then I could see all my old friends that I haven't seen in those years, it would be really fun to hang out and have good times.
So when we got to the track, we set up our pit area, and Mike said I don't care; we're going to just go and have fun, so just race." Mike said we each have 4 or 5 sets of practice tires for the week and enough tires for qualifying and the mains that's it, so go and have fun.
Working on two cars throughout the week, it was hard to find time to even get up, eat lunch and hang with friends, but I wanted to make my rounds to at least say hi and talk to everyone that I saw because they are my friends. What was even more special, old friends took the time and came over to me if I didn't see them to say hi and chat, that made it even more special that they even took the time out of their day to even come over and say Hi and chat.
There are some friends I would really like to thank and help make my dream come true and possible. Without them and their help, I would not even have made the Masters A main final or raced.
First, I can not thank my friend Michael Strack for all his kindness and unselfishness for calling me up and flying me out to Florida to hang out and use of all of his race equipment, cars, tires, engines, radios, parts and stay. We laughed so much and had the best times anyone could ever imagine.
These are memories and stories we can share for the rest of our lives, just fun stuff.
I would like to thank my dear friend Otto Rosa for all his help going through one of the cars I brought over to him to look at because he knows the Mugen Seiki Racing cars and set up well. Otto will make and fix anything; he is 100 percent mcguyver and perfectionist.
I had a problem with the car over rotating and could get it out. I couldn't find what was wrong, so I took the car over to Otto. Otto went through the car , cleaned up the setup, and made the car perfect but found that the disc brake was warped and caused the problem for the car over rotating where it shouldn't. Otto went out of his way to get the parts and fix it. The car was perfect after that.
I would like to thank Brian Thomas , team manager for Mugen Seiki Racing , helping me with parts that we didn't have to make sure our Mugen cars ran well. Brian also helped me out when I got behind with the cars before the mains started so I could finish rebuilding my car for the main. Brian was trying to race, but being Team manager of Mugen, his was getting pulled in every direction from Mugen drivers and helping and supporting them to ensure good results for Mugen. Brian is one of the nicest guys and the perfect man for the job with Mugen. The guy is just always happy and willing to help others.
I would like to thank Brad Rassmussen for all his help pitting and having parts we didn't have to get our Mugen cars back together. We robbed all the parts we could off of Mike's 3rd back-up car, so we had to go to the partsman Brad. Lol.
Between Mike and I, we only (Mike) lol broke one part all week; that's unbelievable because we're both hacks, lol.
Our Muge MRX6X cars were dialed. It was up to Mike and I to just drive them.
I would also like to also thank The Nugge Ranch RC Raceway for a great organized race and a great facility for us racers. Thank you, Greg
and Melanie Esser , for a Great time.
I can not say I was not emotional after the win; some people say crying, I say it's called passion and dedication to have a chance and have the opportunity to fulfill a dream, especially when its doesn't happen on a regualr basis. Everyone shows their emotions differently, and when it does happen, some people emotions come out differently.
What was even more special and not expecting was my friend Thello Jordan was at the bottom of ramp to embrace me after winning; it was extremely special and not even expected, a memory for life that sets on top of the list of greatest moments in my life.
I can honestly say that without my friends and their help, I would have never been able to achieve my results and lucky enough on Winning the Masters A main event.
I am very happy and blessed to have the friends I do have and to be able to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, making a dream come true.
I would like to thank Mugen Seiki Racing America , Robert Morris from ULTI Tires, and Ko Propo radios.
Thank u
Billie B.
